Featured Plants and Virtual Tour

The always-popular Featured Plants & Virtual Tour will include five concrete masonry and paver production facilities. Refreshments will be served before and during the tour and there will also be prize drawings for producers in attendance. Must be present to win.

  • Allied Concrete Products, Richmond, VA, presented by Pathfinder Systems. Pathfinder presents Allied Concrete Products, Richmond, VA. In late 2016, Allied Concrete Products installed a new Tiger Model S-6 to meet Allied’s need for a high output, high tech, machine that is easy to operate. The tour will show how this Model S-6 is providing fast cycle times, machine function flexibility, and a safe, easy, fast and simple mold change.Pathfinder will provide a Tundra 45 and four 30-ounce stainless steel Rambler Tumblers for a prize.


  • CPM Frederickson an Oldcastle Company, Tacoma, Washington, presented by MASA. CPM Frederickson will showcase a 2017 state-of-the-art MASA plant for the production of high quality SRWs, pavers, slabs. MASA will sponsor $500 cash prize.


  • Dagostino Building Blocks, Inc., Schenectady, New York, presented by Besser Company. Since 1922, Dagostino has been producing concrete masonry units in upstate New York. In the summer of 2017, the company updated the plant with a state-of- the-art Servopac Select® to increase their productivity and production flexibility. $500 Gift Card to Allen Bros. America’s Purveyors of the Finest Meats.


  • Firth Industries, Auckland, New Zealand, presented by Columbia Machine, Inc.  For over 90 years, Firth Industries has been the leader of concrete production in the New Zealand market. In 2017, Firth opened its new state-of-the-art Hunua facility that features dual CPM+50 production machines, producing its market¹s highest quality CMU, paver and SRW products. Columbia is sponsoring a DJI Spark drone prize.


  • P D Edenhall in Buxton, England presented by Rekers (NA), Inc.  P D Edenhall is the United Kingdom’s largest independent concrete brick manufacturer. Solid concrete bricks are heavier and don’t key as well into mortar as traditional cored bricks. Rekers’ RS block machine with a cross configuration met P D Edenhall’s need to produce a cored brick face-up with a core puller.  The tour will show the three-year-old plant with a loader/unloader for forklift handling into curing as well as an automatic marshaling cuber, brick packs on pallets with interleaved protection and stretch wrapping.  A Gold Medal Wine Club gift certificate will be sponsored by Rekers.
