Featured Plants and Virtual Tour

The always-popular Featured Plants & Virtual Tour will include five concrete masonry and paver production facilities. Refreshments will be served before and during the tour and there will also be prize drawings for producers in attendance. Must be present to win.

Saturday, February 10, 2018, 7:30 am – 9:30 am

  • Basalite Surrey – Manufacturing in British Columbia presented by Pathfinder Systems. Basalite installed a new TG-6 plant with finger car, CC Cuber and Robotic Pallet Accumulation. The tour will show the plant’s new generation controls and reporting, plant-wide preventative downtime sensors and Wi-Fi broadcasting GOT screens, and inline processor for pavers. Pathfinder will provide a Tundra 45 and four 30-ounce stainless steel Rambler Tumblers for a prize.


  • CPM Frederickson an Oldcastle Company, Tacoma, Washington, presented by MASA. CPM Frederickson will feature a state-of-the-art MASA machine 2017 at the facility for the production of SRWs, pavers, slabs. MASA will sponsor $500 cash prize.


  • D’agostino Building Blocks, Inc., Schenectady, New York, presented by Besser Company. Since 1922, Dagostino has been producing concrete masonry units in upstate New York. In the summer of 2017, the company updated the plant with a state-of- the-art Servopac Select® to increase their productivity and production flexibility. $500 Gift Card to Allen Bros. America’s Purveyors of the Finest Meats.


  • Firth Industries, Auckland, New Zealand, presented by Columbia Machine.  Firth Industries houses a Duel CPM+50 production plant. The tour will display the production of high quality CMU, paver and SRW products. Columbia is sponsoring a DJ 1 Spark Drone prize.


  • Persimmon PLC in Doncaster, UK, presented by Rekers (NA) Inc. The biggest home builder in the UK, Persimmon will highlight their new, big board KRS4 with specialty package for making cored facing bricks and specialty cyber and  handling line for voided packs. A Gold Medal Wine Club gift certificate will be sponsored by Rekers.
